The Nebuly CoatJohn Meade Falkner
I am reading a most delightful novel..The Nebuly Coat The author wrote only three novels (including the classic Moonfleet)..this is a free book I found through my kindle..very very good!!

If not..could be quite funny..as long as I am not the one being pranked!

Hehe!! I begin this weekend. I liked the lead actor when he played the dentist on Seinfeld.

I really do love Trollope and Wilkie Collins..I am constantly amazed, when reading them, that books that are over 150 years old can still be so timely and relevant..I have several Thackeray novels as well but have not read them yet..each time I finish a Collins or a Trollope book I keep pledging to read another Victorian Author yet always end up with another Collins or Trollope! I just ordered
so I am quite sure that will be my next "Victorian" after I finish Three Clerks

I don't watch many recent shows, but with your recommendation and along with my brother's..I will certainly be watching it in the next few weeks! Hope it is on netflix..if not I can see it through DirectTV
KOMET wrote: ""INEQUALITY FOR ALL" - a documentary of our times as narrated by Robert ReichSaw it last weekend. I highly recommend it.
"Ronald wrote: "Captain Phillips. Tom Hanks was amazing. Warning: the film is very intense."
two must see films! I heard such great things about the Reich narrated documentary..a must must see
My brother is visiting and he has very highly recommended Cold Case to me. He is very selective about the TV shows he watches and he said Cold Case is one of the most high quality shows currently on. I will certainly check it out.
I tried to watch The Goldbergs because I like George Segal..UGH!!!!! Horrible..unfunny..scripts seem like they were written by a 10 year oldI heard that the new Ironside was cancelled after just a handful of episodes.. never saw it but I have no desire to see a remake of such a classic show.

I can honestly say I have never watched a single episode of Survivor. I am sure it was a fun show when it was new and unique..has got to be very tiresome for those who enjoyed it in it's TV infancy

Such a great character
Seeley wrote: "Rick wrote: "I do not know how the film will be..but no real interest in LAST VEGAS..seems far too contrived..like it is trying to be like Cocoon with older people acting young..it should be called..."I saw a few more previews of Last Vegas and I truly cannot see how anyone can find it funny..they always show the "best" lines in the previews..and if that is the case, this film will be one of the corniest and unoriginal films in a long time. Just seems like a bunch of old stars saying outragious things and assuming folks will think.."oh I can't believe he just said that!" The fact that Robert Deniro is in it is a major warning sign..the once great actor is now sadly a fixture in about every third bad movie that opens

My pleasure Seeley. Believe it or not I have yet to read
. And I love Fitzgerald. Especially his short stories
After hearing so much positive feedback on The Blacklist -I finally gave it a chance. Certainly far better than the vast majority of shows on Network TV. James Spader is terrific yet I can't help thinking that his acting isn't a bit influenced by Hopkins' Hannibal Lector in a way

All of them are quite absorbing and substantial. T particularly like the Abe Glitsky character.

Melissa ..Chandler is one of those writers who are like a brisk evening walk. Always enjoyable and never gets old!
