Hi there. I'm William. I've taught English for a number of years, but now am in a language-learning situation myself. I moved to Japan with my family a number of years ago so am having to apply myself to Japanese. I've joined this group mainly to ask which books people would recommend to English learners i.e. books that aren't too literary, arty, old-fashioned, difficult, complicated plots, too many idioms etc. What would you recommend?
