ENTP and INFJ are actually a compatible pairing - ie, most they're supposedly the best pairing for each other. I do know for certain that INFJ's are supposed to be the most extroverted of introverts (and having an INFJ sister, I can confirm that). Also, my cousin who I suspect to be an ENTP is rather shy. Their functions are as follows:
ENTP:
Extroverted Intuition
Introverted Thinking
Extroverted Feeling
Introverted Sensing
INFJ:
Introverted Intuition
Extroverted Feeling
Introverted Thinking
Extroverted Sensing.
As you can see, the two have the same middle functions - their decisions functions, incidentally, - just in the opposite order. They both make decisions based on internal thought and external emotion. An INFJ is more comfortable with the external emotion, while an ENTP will usually go with their impulsive internal thought. It is usually in stressful situations that they fall back on their third function.
However, the big difference that I would focus on would be the first function. Introverted vs. Extroverted Intuition. Their lead perception processes. I did quite a bit of study on the difference between the two last year, as I was writing an INTJ character.
However, I still don't feel quite qualified to explain the difference, so I'm going to point you to this well-written article and you can come back and ask me questions. How does that sound? http://personalityjunkie.com/10/extra...
You want to take this conversation over to the random chat? I could go in from the function level to see if I can help you.

Her other books were Indie, but not that one. Jack's one of the authors that I follow closely, so ... yeah. No, she had a publisher. And a professional editor. And then realized that her previous books were FULL of typos and such, and has taken them down for editing. I do not know when she's going to put them back up.
Oh, fun fact, the book I am currently writing (Or ... one of the books, but it's the one that has 70% of my attention right now) The Worth of a King, was originally a co-write with her.
Sarah Grace wrote: "I'm an ENTP\INFJ. I still haven't decided whether or not I'm introverted or extroverted. :P"And, also, clearly, whether you're a feeler/thinker and a perceiver/judger.
I should connect you with my INFJ sister. She's pretty good at pinning down people's personalities.
I have it on Kindle. For the record, that one's not Indie. Jack actually had a publisher on it. Oh, and Lorrie, you can find Indie Books on audiobook. I would personally recommend Red Rain, as she offers the whole book for free, and she has a very talented reader who really brings the story to life. http://jointheunaccepted.com/books/re...
I personally vied back and forth between ENFP and ENTP. I was pretty sure I was an extrovert, even though I'm terribly shy, but I love using my thinking box a lot. Once I got down to the function level of MBTI, however, I'm ENFP all the way.
I'm going to surprise myself with the books I choose. But I think I'm going to do Brothers-in-Arms for the 20th century.
I's a tired human after a long day at Micky D's handing food out a window. I also write. I write lots of things. All the pretty things. And sometimes I publish those things. It's brilliant.
