I finished Love's Long Journey yesterday, and now I'm onto the 1700-1800s category :) I am reading I Was Jane Austen's Best Friend. I have my next book after that picked out too. It's called Ophelia, and it's a Shakespeare retelling I'm pretty sure...I just have to decide what book I want to read for the 1500-1600s category now :P Anybody have any recommendations for that time period? I was planning on reading an actual Shakespeare play, but I'm a little intimidated since I have never read anything by him before xD
I finished my indie book yesterday afternoon, and then started my non-fiction at night :) I might read that one a little slower though because it is kinda like a devotional, and I think I would get more out of it that way :)
Sarah Grace wrote:"LOL! I'm stealing from others' lists as well, so no worries! ;) Great choices! A Dream not Imagined was really sweet and unique!"Hehe okay I don't feel as bad now :P And thank you! I'm looking forward to reading Shantelle's book even more now! I have been meaning to read it for a while, and now I have the perfect excuse lol :D
- A classic: Under the Greenwood Tree by Thomas Hardy- A fantasy\sci-fi: Rise of the Isle of the Lost by Melissa de la Cruz
- A contemporary: Barefoot Summer by Denise Hunter (maybe)
- An indie published book: A Dream Not Imagined by Shantelle Hannu
- A non-fiction: Not sure yet...but maybe Beautifully Broken: Giving God the Broken Pieces by Mandy Fender (I don't own many non-fiction books and this is the only one I can think of lol...well unless the Bible counts for it)
- A book set between the years 2000 and 1901: Chasing Jupiter by Rachel Coker (Stole this idea from Sarah Grace xD, plus I just recently bought it so I thought I might as well give it a try now :P lol)
- A book set between the years 1801 and 1900: Love's Long Journey by Janette Oke
- A book set between the years 1701 and 1800: --(Haven't figured it out yet)
- A book set between the years 1601 and 1700: --(Haven't figured it out yet)
- A book set between 1501-1600: A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare (maybe)
Sorry I still don't have all my books filled out yet...I am gonna have to go through my tbr and hopefully find ones that fit the categories I missed :P
Ok, yes, that makes sense! :D Sorry if I was a little confusing lol I am terrible at trying to put my thoughts into words xD It just comes out a huge jumbled mess most of the time :P And I'm glad too! I just have to figure out which books I want to read for each category now! :)
I am an INFJ and I feel really introverted at times lol especially compared to some of my friends xD I do like people and enjoy company, but I can feel so drained if I'm around big crowds or too many people at once...I think it's easier for me to talk just one-on-one :P Idk, I wish I wasn't so shy at times, but I can't seem to make myself not be lol
This is probably a stupid question haha But I saw you mentioned above we have to read the challenge books in the order listed, but I just got about 15-20 books from the library xD and I kinda want to read some of those books along with the challenge books before I have to return them...So I just wanted to see if it was fine to read other books between (Not going towards the challenge), while still making sure I read a classic first, then a fantasy/sci-fi, and so on...I am not sure if that made any sense lol I am pretty bad at trying to explain things :P (And sorry for the extremely long question lol)
