I didn't have a copy of The Mark of the King for a few days, so I ended up finishing Edmée: a Tale of the French Revolution instead for 1700s.Got to decide my 1600s one now!

Oh, here's one I loved! An adventure set in the times of the Inquisition...
If it isn't on Project Gutenburg, I'm pretty sure it's on Internet Archive.

Henty, which I've already read in the past."Check into Emily Sarah Holt. Her stories were often based on true stories and were highly Christian (often about persecution). It's not always a comfortable read, but they tend to be shorter novels and will really stir up your faith.
Here are a couple of hers for the 1500s (I'm pretty sure there are more.)

Anyone want a good fall challenge? One day left to sign up for a fun one I'm participating in! You don't have to be a blogger and you don't have to read only Christian fiction...just be able to read a book in two weeks or less. It's really fun!https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
