A Brand New World: A Slice-of-Life Urban Fantasy by Egathentale. I didn't think I would like this but it keeps me giggling and I am not a giggly person.
The Lost King by Morgan Blayde is unrelated to the authors prior books and left me conflicted. There is a lot to like and a lot to hate in this story but it still worth a read. I think I like it more ... Maybe?
Under a Graveyard Sky is a slow start to a series that made me literally cry in joy. A feat only 1 other series has replicated. It is a good recommendation. For older books I’d recommend.
The Caves of Steel
Nemesis
The only time travel books I like.
The End of Eternity
The Time Machine

I really enjoyed the first act, but the second was a bit too..."
I liked the story as a whole and I will give the sequel a try when it comes out but I do agree with you. The second part is very different from the more slice of life first part. The MC did see turn OP.
Even a Hero Needs a Vacation Every Now and Then (a light novel): Tipsy Pelican Tavern Vol 1 by August a nice fun light novel with strong characters. It’s also on KU and why I’m going to be dead tired at work tomorrow.
Katie Kincaid Candidate: Katie Kincaid One is kinda a cross between Nathan Lowell and Mackey Chandler with a dash of military
Sci-fIThe Alpha Protocol: Alpha Protocol Book 1 by Duncan M. Hamilton
Sentenced to War by J.N. Chaney
Eastern Fantasy
Reincarnation by Michael Head
LitRPG (honorable mention)
G.E.S.S.: Genetically Engineered Super Soldier by Frank Pisauro
