Congratulations, LAB! :) I'm so happy & excite for you!

:) Samesies. :)
And Kristi, weren't you the one who photographed the flowers and such? I have it stuck in my head that you were. IIRC, you were the first person I "knew" who turned me on to flickr.
I only vaguely remember Kari/Keri, and did really enjoy her 'weekend reads.' Of course, unless/until my actual life calms down, I'm not going to be able to read as much as I used to (more's the pity).
I'm finally getting around to reading The Witcher Series 7 Books Collection Set, and have managed to get about half-way through the series. Is it just me, or is it a good set of tales about Frankenstein: The 1818 Text meets The Complete Brothers Grimm Fairy Tales (i.e., a created "monster" that's actually a better, more caring 'human' than the creators)?
Otherwise, I've done a decent job of staying up to date with Nalini Singh, Ilona Andrews, Shelley Laurenston/G.A.Aiken, etc. (Though I'm excited for the new Archangel book, I'm reserving the right to be miffed if it comes across as rushed/filler.) I've also reverted to reading a crap-tonne of victorian-ish era romances just because I'm finding that I've been disenchanted by a number of other authors and I need the whole 'civility + society hobnobbing + peerage + Scandal TM' to calm me down and shut off my brain.

Ahhhhh, yes. Those days.
I stumbled across the Amz forum back in about 2008/2009. Back when Dicey Grenor was also still active. (And I met her and her family IRL in 2012! :) Super sweet people. Proud to know all of them.) Anyone else remember the days of BBA drama in the Amz reviews? ;)
As one of those who's been mostly out since 2015/2016, I am very glad this group has continued it's SOP. Being able to pop in and peruse the booklists and general conversations when I can does provide some much needed stress relief. It's also been much easier to track all of the books this group's conversed about - rather than actually starting a spreadsheet that we could all edit (gah. I feel super old at that mention) and comment on.
Happy reading!

I rec'd an ARC of a PNR book that ought to be right up my alley. However after reading, I'm left feeling there's just something slightly off.
The plot is pretty good, not out of this world (literally set here on our planet), but good enough that I finished it and am still curious and willing to read more (should author pub more) about the other characters.
I think my problem is the way Auth narrates the H (~500y/o dragon-shifter): it's coming across to me as too much, maybe? (The h is of course modern young woman, but I think even her language is a bit much at times.)
Question for you all: should I re-read and then post a review? or just post what I have from first read?
