When rivka gets back Whren, Merrillee is clearly GR author Merrillee Whren as well.

If you find a spam "book", please do NOT delete it. Link to the book here, please, so we can give Otis as much info as possible."
Will do. In the past you wanted links to the users more than the books; has that changes or was "Link to the book here" a thinko?
I should also note that, when I found the ones reported in 102 above, I edited the book descriptions slightly to remove the links that are the real spam payload, hopefully reducing the efficacy of their strategy by removing any PageRank they might be earning from the post. The old descriptions should still appear in the edit histories, but should I stop doing that to enhance Otis's analysis?

Do we still need to catch them manually, or is this what the new code is designed to clean out after the fact? IOW, when I see this, should I report it here, kill it myself, or just ignore it and trust the code?

Not sure if I should delete it or not..."
It was still there today and doesn't seem to be real, and the user who added t is gone, so spam or not, I've deleted the book. I don't think I can delete the author, but the Empty Author script should kill it eventually. I didn't see a related Quoue entry.

Meanwhile, movie based on short story, which had 10 reviews, merged to the book containing that story, now needs super to delete.

In fact, it looks like GRLibrarian http://www.goodreads.com/librarian/us... has been adding a bunch of short-story entries without ISBNs. If, as I suspect, this is not kosher, someone with more authority than I might want to thank her for her efforts and ask her to stop.

Short story, once published in a magazine, turned into a movie, no ISBN.

should be merged into
http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/...
but it looks like the one multi-author book on that record might need deletion after the reviews are merged: the ISBN appears to be corrupted, and I can't find any evidence that this is a separate edition from the one already listed correctly.

As examples, here's one with the real source's name in the tags:

One with no proper source:

And one I moved to the real source, and tagged with the original misattribution (apparently before it got locked out):

The maxim that "famous words need famous mouths" makes our quote database, like all the other crowd-sourced quote databases, rather corrupt, sadly. Fixing what I can find is one of my Sisyphean pet projects.

Also, I haven't done anything to these guys, as they are already disambiguated via the missing period, but if that's against standard someone may want to tag them too.

I did not add the boilerplate Librarian Note to the author profiles, assuming that should wait until after they are listed on the linked forum. Please send a PM if that's wrong and I'll endeavor to add it in the future (though I do far more combining of author variants than disambiguating).
Thanks, you're welcome, I'm sorry. ;-)
P.S. Just saw elsewhere in thread that note should be applied right away, so I added that to the ones that are dabbed by spaces (i.e., the first 5 above).
