21935 I know there's been talk of how to promote your books. I'm being featured this and next week on Reader Views. They reviewed my second book and interviewed me. I really enjoyed working with the editor too. Let me know what you think of the feature.
It's at:

The book is "The Lost Secret of the Green Man". I'm the second author featured out of 3.

21935 I enjoyed reading your article. I have also lost cats to being hit by cars. I used to live with a big orchard behind my house, but they still wondered to the expressway 2 acres away. They really roam. I even had a cat chased by a dog while she sat on our front lawn after her breakfast. The dog chased her down the street and grabbed her by the neck. She was dead in 20 minutes.

The outside dangers don't always end up being a car. One of my neighbors found her cat in bad shape after letting it sit on her porch at 4 am. The vet said he thought plier marks were left, and not a coyote. Not all people like cats.

I live now in a condo with coyotes nearby that come down from the hills. I only allow my cat outside for a walk and sniff if I am with her. She is never allowed outside without myself following her around. She does sit on a chair on my porch, but it's fenced off.

So, most agencies don't let them adopt if they are indoor/outdoor. But I did find an adoption agency that allowed wandering while I watched. I guess it just depends on the group you adopt from. The Humane Societies tend to be least restrictive.

I did like your story though. It related to a lot things cat owners go through. My current kitty/baby is my 4th cat.
