it's my understanding that dark hair seems to run in the family, which would make kiks' li'l 'ne a bit out of place, but blonde hair is a recessive gene. so the right combination can lead to a blond kid in a family with dark hair.

kiks : I would think that he cares a lot for his kids, but might not be the best at showing it. He's like the awkward dad that'll like pat their head all weird and go "very good; nice job" and then not know what to do lol
like he's a little scared he might break them
