Following the devastating Black Summer fires in Australia, this island community is recovering by connecting and uplifting each other and sharing their own tales. Island residents give a glimpse into life on the island before, during and after the fires and through the pandemic. Sales of this story collection benefit the Kangaroo Island community by purchasing new playground equipment for our children at a fire-devastated sports club.

I am the author of the book and founder of the project on the island. My family and I lost everything in the fires. This project is helping me heal mentally from the heartache we all experiences nearly 2 years ago.

I would love more people to hear about our beautiful community and help us raise funds.
