Hello friends. My country is India and I wanted to mention a former diplomat, (who also worked in the UN), a writer and now a politician from my country who said he had accomplished a feat of reading 365 books a year. Anyway he did not recommend that by saying that one has to take one's own time to grasp the style of writing the author implements, the metaphors he/she uses and so on and not be hasty. I did realise that investing the time to enjoy the style of writing even in fictional works is worth it, which I had earlier refused to do. (Many of which were thrillers and of course I couldn't wait enjoying the poetry :P). Looking forward. Thanks. Beg pardon for any mistake(s). Not used to public forums so much..:)
