I am a former Bank Manager and loved my job helping commercial businesses with loans and overdrafts for start-ups and expansions. It was most rewarding to see vibrant businesses spring up and improve the economy of the beautiful island of Trinidad in the Caribbean where I live.
After my retirement, I ventured into the unfamiliar territory of Insurance Underwriting. I was required to write several examinations which I passed with flying colours. After six years, I was awarded Life membership in the Million Dollar Round Table, a Premier Association for Financial Professionals. A diagnosis of cancer changed my career aspirations and I am now happy to be a writer.
To date, I have self-published eighteen books. My first book published was "I am Cancer Free. – A Memoir," and my Facebook page is Banker turns Writer.

Hi, I am Brenda Mohammed, a Cancer Survivor from Trinidad and Tobago. I have written seventeen books, seven of which are memoirs and nine fiction.
I see that my friend Ashley stated that she also had a battle with cancer like I did.
I wrote, "I am Cancer Free: A Memoir," and I look forward to reading Ashley's book [ when published] so we can compare notes.
Happy to be a member of this group.
