Caroline’s comments from the 2022 ONTD Reading Challenge group.

I just finished this and I didn't think it was that great. The story was quite drawn out and there wasn't much character development aside from Shadow. I couldn't really pick a favourite god because we don't see too much of their personalities. The twist at the end was interesting, but I found myself more intrigued with the interludes and random chapters about gods vs. the main plot. I think the TV series might work better with the help of visuals and the opportunity to delve more into the gods' backgrounds.
