I have heard such good things about Gillian Flynn. Is that one after or before Gone Girl?"It is before Gone Girl, which was good, and she has one before both those called Sharp Objects so I am going out of order of when they were published!

After the couple I am reading now I am going to read
Dark Places By Gillian Flynn. :)

The novel is very entertaining and captivating, I think her as being the one always waiting shows how much she loves Henry and I think it is sweet and shows the dedication. I think if it was the other way around (Claire and Henry switched rolls) it wouldn't be the same. So in that sense it does kind of put her in the traditional female character. I think Henry shows how much he loves Clare by what he does to be with her.
The baby struggles were really interesting. This was one of those details in the story that I though t really made it all such a unique and well thought up concept. The author covered all the angles that needed to be covered otherwise I would have thought, "Why didn't they have a baby or even try, and what would happen." didn't question the book, only enjoyed it.
No comment on Gomez.
I think the story is more about Clare and what it is like to be the wife of a time traveler but I think Henry has his own story that connects with hers.

I have already read this but I enjoyed the structure even at the beginning, I only flipped back a couple of times to remember age and it gives so much promise to the story. It is structured really well and made me want to keep reading to see how it was going to all come together. It is written very well with a lot of great details.
The revenge on Jason I thought was a good way to reveal the kind of relationship they were developing and it was an interesting side to the characters that we would not have seen otherwise.
I think that the amount that is revealed is perfect and the characters are so real. It is the best kind of magical realism. I think it is very interesting how the story is so real. It sucks you into this very probable story. I also had a hard time putting it down but I found myself also not wanting it to end!

Hello, I have read this book recently and will chime in but refrain from spoilers! :)

I did like The Time Traveler's Wife. I did have a bit of problem with the last 20-25 pages but I thought it was a wonderful story, and I can't believe it's her first published novel! ..."I agree the near end does give the book an unexpected turn I also didn't think was necessary! An amazing story, not many that are able to compare :)
