Benny grinned as he took the paper. "Thanks," he replied. The way she had said 'your girl' had given him a warm rush of feeling. No one had ever been 'his girl' before and it every time he heard something like that it made him happy. "I'll treasure it forever," he half-joked.

Benny smiled, imagining Anna is a toddler with coloring books laying around her feet. "I used to color outside the lines too," he said. "Though not exactly in a good way. My coloring books were full of scribbles."

"No, keep going," Benny said, liking how she got excited over it. He wondered if he talked the same way about theatre or chocolate.

"Yeah," agreed Benny, not knowing much about art but thinking it sounded right. "Your drawing isn't perfect, but it is beautiful." Like you, he added mentally, too shy to say it out loud.

Benny watched her draw in fascination. He didn't draw much himself, aside from the occasional stick figure, and while his sister had taken art in school before, she was only mediocre. "That's amazing," he said, looking between the drawing and the actual sunset, the ribbons of color on the horizon.

He smiled and sat down next to her, gazing at the lake. "This lake is so picturesque," he muttered. Then,"I'm so glad that I met you." He squeezed her hand.

"It's okay, it's just a lesson learned," Benny replied. "We're both fine; now we shouldn't worry about what might have happened." He set her down gently on the sand, a few feet from the waves at the shoreline.

((Oops I meant kissed her forehead not missed XD))

Benny felt her hand squeeze his arm and he smiled faintly. He kept moving towards the sand, talking as he went. "Anna," he said, fairly sure she could hear him. "It's okay. It's not your fault." It's my fault, he thought. Then, unsure what else to say, he missed her forehead.

Benny laughed as Anna splashed him, even ducked his head under at one point to avoid being splashed. When he came back up quickly after one of her strongest splashes, she wasn't there. Benny cursed in Greek under his breath. He dived under, looking for her, not caring that the water stung his eyes. He saw her with her swirl of dirty blonde hair and quickly went up for breath, then dived after her and held her the way Disney princes hold their princesses, with his arms under her, and kicked upward with his legs. He took a deep breath when he broke the surface and swam back to where Anna could reach the bottom. He felt a lump of guilt for starting the water fight.

Benny rolled his eyes good-naturedly as Anna went deeper, still hopping on her tiptoes, but swam after her anyway. He was a decent swimmer, but not child of Poseidon good. His parents had always made he and his sister take swim lessons every summer at a local pool. Then he got an idea. "Water fight!" he yelled as he splashed her.

Benny stood up, the water swirling around his waist, then waded deeper to where Anna was, smirking that she had to stand on her tiptoes while his feet were flat on the sandy lake bottom. "I'm fine," he said. "Just got some water in my mouth." He spit a little water out to accentuate his point.

Benny laughed as he was hit by the water from the splash, then ran in after her and belly flopped into the lake, laughing like an idiot the whole time.

"Ouch," Benny said, feigning hurt. He chuckled, and then kissed on the cheek back.

"Not much," replied Benny cheerfully. "Just messing around at camp, trying to make being a son of Demeter cool, gardening, singing, ya know, the usual. Not to mention being awesome."

"It's fine," he said, putting his arm around his shoulders. "Being a demigod can be pretty tiring even if you're as awesome as me, and I smell pretty good, I might add." Benny grinned.

"Hey!" he replied, pretending to be insulted. "I can't believe you would say that! I bathe every...month." He couldn't stop himself from smiling. "Just kidding," he added quickly, still with a grin on his face.

Benny grinned. "I hope potential is not the only thing you smell or I would have bathed for nothing," Benny joked.

"Thanks," Benny said, brightening considerably. "You really think so?"

Benny jumped a little bit, startled. "Hey Anna," he replied, smiling, a brush creeping onto his cheeks.
