201765 Kay,

The site looks great! Very sorry I haven't gotten back to you about Christmas gifts. I will be sending an email within this week pertaining to such. Let me know when I can begin sending people there- and if others (who are not authors) can donate gifts, too.

I'd prefer you send me an email with your book title - plea..

Lyra -Awesome. I'm hoping to get as many as I can. The genre is not specific.

Angel- Thank you for writing. Autism can be hard but a huge blessing. I remember the non-verbal times. It was difficult to say the least but sign language worked wonders. Although it was no more extensive than -done-love you-more etc, that helped immensely.

Actually, I just told a lady who works with us the story of being non-verbal and his biting issue. Chris, my son would bite everything. Tables, chairs, anything. It wasn't pica -but almost like aggression/frustration. One day, he bit my finger. Drew blood. We were working on pressing buttons to receive the toy. Anyway-that day, I said, "Nothing made for children will sustain the teeth of Chris. He's like a puppy teething." The next day-I went out and bought a bag of puppy chew toys. I knew he wouldn't be able to break/tear/chew with his teeth. When I saw the frustration face-I'd shove one in his hand. One month later, and poof no more biting.

I've used conventional-scientific proven techniques/interventions-and some very unconventional methods to help Chris. When I made this series-I hoped to reach out to everyone. It can be overwhelming -and if someone doesn't have an education in the field-sometimes the caregiver/parent voice isn't heard. I wanted people to feel -yours is important regardless. Go with your gut. Be their advocate.

I also wanted to allow the children to feel understood. There's so many PhD books for parents-yet not many for the child. I didn't want to talk at-but with, yet guide. Thinking maybe one of those books might be the keys to one of their locked doors. That's what I call my son's symptoms -locked doors. When I've found those keys, he just blossomed that much more.

If you would like a gifted e-book, I will be happy to do so. I love finding out how a child responded to it. Of course the parents, but my main focus is the children.

201765 Awesome, my email is rbdaniels260@gmail.com !

If I cannot publish your interview right away; I will still do a review. I'm awaiting the details of how often I have to send in an article.

Always best to be prepared.

201765 Thank you! Well, it's not People magazine-but it's a start. ;) She asked what types of articles I can write. Hmmm, let me see: columns/editorials/criticism/reviews/commentary/investigative essays/interviews.

Then came the---what genre/field. I didn't respond for over three months. She e-mailed again. That's when it hit me. I loved doing the reviews-learning about the other authors. Unfortunately, I cannot promote myself. I suppose I do it writing through that forum, however; people on here have been so kind-I'd love to promote them somehow. So, I thought I'd offer.

Kimberly, if you dream it-I'm sure it will happen. ;)

201765 Kay and others-

I have an opportunity to write for an online magazine. The owner said, "let me know what types of articles you can write."

Personally, I can write all kinds. Just depends on my mood and what direction I'm heading in, however; I would love to write about authors. I've met so many awesome people, and this community seems full of positive energy.

If anyone would be interested in a story being done about them, their book, and even my personal views (i.e. review) ; I'd welcome all stories, be it a harrowing tale or an adventure you never saw coming.

People have been great -to post my story or books- to their blog- I would like this opportunity to return the favor. Instead of on my blog, to an online magazine associated with -what seems to be-some decent heavy hitters in many areas.

Let me know if interested. ;) Again, Thank you for all the support, encouragement, and understanding.

201765 Hi, Newbie here-

A wonderful woman told me to check out this page. Forgive me, I'm just learning goodreads.

It looks like an awesome promotion. I read through the thread. Are you wanting people to purchase someone else's book or donate one of ours? Either way, I'm game.
