That's wonderful that the docs can be tweaked. This is not a crisis. Just knowing somebody can do it is a huge relief. I have the PDF, mobi and Word documents downloaded directly from Createspace.
I just tried to PM you but I am not able to PM anyone at the moment. I emailed Goodreads, but meanwhile, it would be wonderful if you could PM me or email me demeier50@gmail.com
I have discovered typos, etc that I need to fix in my book but can't do it myself due to technology incompetence. I had Createspace format my book - as a paperback and ebook. I don't even have word - I gave them a google doc that i saved it was a word. I like what they did but have to fix some typos.
They really price gauge for a few edits if one is selling the paperback on KDP instead of Createspace.
Does anyone know somebody independent to do this? I've looked at fiverr.com and around on the web. One person clearly knew even less about what to do that I do. Which is scary.
I asked on the kdp forum and everyone told me that I have to do this myself. I find that hard to believe.
I have the word doc and the docs that are live on kidp.
thanks for your thoughts.

If you have time, you can get build credits up in preparation for your books coming out. I'm going to track peoples' credits carefully - every buy & review earns you a credit.
We've set up a group for indie authors to sell their books & get positive reviews. It's a very simple system. Author A reviews Author B book
Author B reviews Author C book
Author C reviews Author A book
Each buy/review you do gives you a credit for a purchase/review of your book. As moderator, I'm going to do a log so that everyone gets as good as they give.
It will work best for authors with Kindle Unlimited & ebooks with promotions or low prices.
The more people that join, the better this work.

I started a new group for indie authors of books on Kindle Unlimited:Indie Author Cooperative for Review of Kindle Unlimited Books
The concept is that we each agree to do a positive review one KU book on our list each month. These reviews can be short and sweet.
When every book has at least one review, we start a new round. This way we're not doing review exchanges.
Author A reviews Author B's book
Author B reviews Author C's book
and so on
We report in advance which book we're going to read. If for some reason Author A doesn't do the review of Author B's book as promised, then we get two people to review Author B's book the next month.
What do you think?
