I am almost ready to put Missing Remnants out on Amazon etc. When I say almost ready, I've thought about a blurb. How's this?

Suspended, Detective Track is drawn into a clandestine investigation. Civilians considered a drain on society by the Authority are being abducted. The cases are closed before any real investigation can take place.

Hampered by an injury, Track elicits the help from the few people he can trust and they search for the missing people.

Will he find them? Can he save them in time or will they be forever labelled the space station's Missing Remnants?

There should be an award. Decent author with the most rejections. Could be shaped like a lemon. Or maybe a raised middle finger.

I think you’ve got to get at least another one to match my efforts for this year, Dale. :-)

I wish I could be like that. Finances do not stretch for me to consider it a hobby. If it was a hobby, I would have felt obligated to give up by now because it would be have to be considered a waste of money. At the moment it still has the potential for me to regain the cost of a book cover.

It's an upbringing thing. I was not brought up to "have fun". I was brought up to pay the bills and not waste money on flights of fancy. If I call it a business, it still has potential because I already successfully run a business and have been seen to do so. I basically should not give a stuff what the people around me in the "real world" think. But that is a long process.

Yes Carole, I’m gradually adding all the people who follow you and you’re following to my list and I’m building at a rate of about three a week.

Justin, we’ll read your stuff. I get a payment based on what people here clap for. It’s more then the $5 subscription I pay a month. I’m hoping it will build to beyond this group. But it’ll take time, I’ve never been an overnight sensation at anything.

Well I’m confused. Screenplays aren’t non-fiction. What? I think that’s largely nonsense.

That all depends if CS keeps going or if Amazon closes it down. Technically, I don’t know if it is possible.

Thanks Erica. The rumours about CS are why I used KDP For my first two. Like I said, my books don’t really sell in paperback form. Maybe I’ll just do KDP and be done with it.

Getting through what I’m hoping will be the last edit of Missing Remnants. I am very pleased with it. Just trying to pick up the typos I’ve missed. Then it’ll be onto covers. I’m sorely tempted to not do a paperback. But as the covers are affordable I may as well.

Am I using KDP for paperbacks? Or does createspace get your paperbacks distributed to anywhere other than Amazon. (I’ve never managed to sell paperbacks to anyone other than me and a school friend.)

I think I read you don’t earn anything for a series. I could have got that wrong, if I have I’d be pleased to find out. But I haven’t really looked into it.
