201765 If you want to be exclusive to Amazon the KDP process is easy to follow. If you don’t follow the instructions for formatting you can come unstuck. I’ve used Smashwords twice to get me into iBooks, Kobo, Nook etc but I find it a tedious process that after formatting, according to their instructions, wants to me to rip out the formatting and start from plain text again. I have never been knocked back by them because of bad formatting so I trust I got it right. There are free ebooks from each one with step by step instructions you can download.

201765 Good point. Hadn't thought of that.

201765 It's not easy. I like titles that are relevant to the story but a bit ambiguous. Modified was an obvious one out of desperation for genetic modification. Nate and Day-the names of two men but also a play on night and day. Missing Remnants is about a group of missing people who have been labelled Remnants by society. Iridessian Haunts could be places to visit on Iridessia or the planet haunts the people on it. And when you consider the amount of time it took me to come up with those...

Inspector Stone and the Heist of Electronics-wouldn't it be simple if everything could be based on Harry Potter titles like that. Must have taken three seconds to think those up.

201765 lol Fire and Heist just sprung to mind. I find titles difficult!

201765 Bargain Booksy will have to be where I go with Missing Remnants when I’ve penned the final chapter.

201765 Oh I agree. Three of my books will absolutely be worth £1.99 and the company I’m contracted to for my other business said years ago that it is never a good business idea to undervalue your product.

201765 The trouble at pricing them at 99p is when I’ve looked at promotions, places require them to be discounted to 99p in order to agree to promote them. When I asked if they’d take my book that was permanently at 99p they didn’t even bother to reply to my email. I admit I have not extensively contacted promo people.

201765 Congrats. I joined Medium a couple of weeks ago as I saw a Radish article on it. Not sure what Medium actually is though.

201765 Oh yes, it's fine, it was just a case of unplugging the soup maker and flicking a switch under the stairs. Annoyingly I think I cut my husband off from an online conference call. Whoops.

Thanks Sam. He'll have a rushed birthday, I'm away for the following night. But there will be cake and presents and KFC.

They still haven't done this?

It's not bad. Once the premium stories are finished, (Haunts and Remnants) I'm free to publish them anywhere immediately. As I can't do that until they're finished anyway, I'm just ploughing on getting the chapters done every week.

To remove them I'd have to wait 90 days from the time the last chapter was published. The erotica (which I set as free) can therefore be removed at the end of January.

The only issue I have with keeping the premiums on there is that I'm publishing them under my real name when they're finished and they'll be on Radish under my pen name and I don't think you can have two names on Radish.

201765 Having looked at the Radish front page over the weeks, it is true to say that the covers they feature are mainly romance. They currently have a Mystery Month section I’m not in and an Exclusives section I’ve been in with one of my two exclusives. The rest however are a lot of couples in embraces and the ubiquitous bare male torso. I’m not sure our demographics cross.

201765 Love a bit of Schwein.

I have completed my goals for this week. Iridessian Haunts is released on Wednesday, the next two episodes are scheduled. Missing Remnants is released on Thursday and I have the next two episodes of that scheduled too.

Need to write son's birthday cards before tomorrow.
Have to make soup.
