201765 Hello folks!

If you need an affordable book cover for your ebook, you should go and check out my website www.elinavale.com.
I do custom covers but I also have lots of pre-made covers there as well.
Spread the word if you know someone who needs one. I'm just starting out, that's why I have low prices.

201765 Hi!

I'm super busy and have ignored Goodreads totally lately... but I have to share my good news. :)

I released my first ever book in February, not selling much, but then I did a promotion for it this week on Monday and got really good results! Last four days and over 2500 pages read on KU! I know it's not much but it's something and I'm so happy that people are actually reading it. I did some great sales too! :)

Then I wrote a novella and I'm giving it for free in a group promotion and I'm getting nearly 20 new subscribers every day with it.

I've been working really hard and I'm so happy to get SOME results! :)

201765 Hi everyone!

I've been away from Goodreads as I have been focusing on learning all about book marketing and book covers and all things that I need to... :) (And I really don't have a clue what I'm supposed to DO here on Goodreads... )

But just thought I let you know that my book is going to be published in 7.2.2018. Next Wednesday that is! :) :) How awesome is that!

I'm so proud of myself for finishing the book and putting myself out there and daring. Phew.

If you want to check it out the link to Amazon is here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0786S2THZ/...

Though I haven't been in here for a while, this group helped me when I took my first steps with this book so THANK YOU. :)

201765 It's been six banking days since my Amazon Scout campaign ended and I still haven't heard anything! I wanna know already! If it's not chosen, (likely so) I'm gonna have to actually publish it by myself (which is likely) and I have to start thinking about it... I have been in a complete frozen state during my scout campaign - I can't seem to do anything until I know the result.

201765 Just got the final proofread from my editor.
It's finished.
I can't believe I actually did it! I wrote a novel.

This may sound a bit silly to you all, but actually having it finished after 1,5 years makes me just.... thrilled and SCARED! Because now, I have no excuses to not cross the line and publish the damn thing. (And it's kind of freaking me out a bit)
Editor problems (36 new)
Sep 28, 2017 03:46AM

201765 We just lived a whole month on a very, very, very tight budget because I invested in an editor. (And you know, I'm feeling guilty because I'm spending money on something that has NO guarantee that it would be a success) I'm trying to have faith and believe in myself so much that I think the investment is worth it.

But I totally understand that sometimes, it's just not possible. :/

Maybe if you would find a couple of good beta-readers, get their comments, make the changes, and then invest on a proofread if a full edit is impossible?

Someone once gave me a good advice: If you don't want to spend the money to have the cover made by a professional and if you won't invest in a good editor you should probably try traditional publishing. And if you don't have a monthly budget for marketing, the book won't sell. I think he had a point. And he sells about 40 books a day, so I wanted to listen and believe his advice.

That's all we can do! And I have to figure out the best platforms for marketing. Twitter is a place where all the YA readers are, right? :D

201765 Thanks guys! Now I'm going to finish this book.

I know I've been here on Goodreads a lot less, but I'm hooked on Twitter. It's highly addictive. ;D

201765 Something good happened:
I finally got the edits back from my new editor and he is great! Yey! I will finally get to finish this book. :) Can't wait to get off from work to dig into my ms!

AND I joined Twitter four weeks ago and already have 121 followers! That's fun and addictive!

Small things but happy things!
