Great news Carole! I'm glad to hear parents are getting their kids books to read during this time at home.

I'm so excited for the fun opportunity. I read Bulwark and loved it. Now I've downloaded all of the other books and I'll be reading through those in the next few weeks before I start on my story. This is such a great idea!

Great to hear Carole! That top 100 ranking isn't easy to reach. Looks like it's 93 now. I'm so happy for you!

It's a fun book. Got one for my kids and gave them an early Christmas present. When I told them I knew the author, I don't think they believed me lol!

Glad to hear paperbacks are going strong for you, Alycia. Making paperbacks does take extra time, but I don't see that as a waste.

Just think where we'd all be if we always listened to the experts...

Alexis - I think at the end of the day you must write the book you enjoy, not everyone else. You'll find a variety of responses since no one feels the same about any book. Even if some people hate it, don't worry. It's part of a process we all go through.

If it's a book you could read 10 times and still feel thrilled about it, then you've probably achieved your personal goal at least. If you read it 10 times and find parts you start to skip, then work on making those areas something you'd like to read over and over.

If you'd like someone else to help you read, let me know and I'll be happy to give your story a shot.

On the KDP bookshelf page, choose the ... next to paperback options for the book. From the drop down menu, choose 'request printed proofs' or 'request author copies'. From there, you input number of copies and choose marketplace. When you submit this, Amazon places an order in your cart on Amazon.com (if that's your marketplace). From there, you place an order like you do for anything else on Amazon. I think you pay taxes, but if I remember correctly, shipping was less than what CS charged when I ordered copies from them.
