201765 I like where your head it at! Thanks for all the info. This will be my first time having a translation done, so I'll take anything I can get.

201765 He usually does it right when I'm wrapped up in something, but otherwise doesn't want anything to do with me.

Thank you Ruth! I'll give that a look. There are sites that do it, but you never know if its just a rip off.

201765 Has anyone looked into this? I was considering having my books translated to German to open the door to new readers (Idea came from family friends from Germany).

I don't speak the language so I would have to trust that it was done correctly. Just wondering if anyone has put any research into this. I just started looking at sites this week. (Please excuse any typos. My cat is laying on my arms and I don't want to disturb him)

201765 Man, there are a lot of awesome books on KU. I've added them to my to-read list and will be making my way through them as fast as I can between writing!

Happy reading

201765 This article has some good points, but it puts all of writing into a box. It's like saying ALL adverbs are bad.

Anyways, there's an article about readability through Prowritingaid.com (the program I use to run my edits)

201765 Hello all!

My name is Ashleigh. I mostly write SF at the moment, but love all genres. I have always written short stories, but two years ago my husband pushed me to write my first novel which I published last year. I instantly fell in love with the indie world and couldn't see myself doing anything else.
