Very nice! I read the article today, I think via a link on Marie Silk's FB page. Either way, it looks good and must be great qua exposure.

Lovely review, and Kirbus - nice!

I found the Giveaways thread and added this link and more information there.

201765 Found it! I've decided to create a fun giveaway that demands a bit of interaction. Like most things I'm doing right now, this is an experiment. We'll see if this was a good choice or not in a few weeks! :)

Anyone can enter to win by either suggesting a character's name or the name of country they want to visit:

201765 I've got to pick up a few new titles still, but I have already read and enjoyed books by authors in this group. Shiva XIV by Lyra Shanti, Davenport House by Marie Silk and An Enlightening Quiche by Eva Pasco. Enjoyed them all and recommend them! Check out my reviews here on Goodreads when you get a chance.

Thanks for the tips! I've gone the 'fun gifts related to the books' route. Here's the link to my Name the Character giveaway. We'll see how it goes. (I'm still figuring out this group, so this may not be the best place to post this. I'll search around for a Giveaways thread!)

Great information, Carole - thank you! Mine might not be as 'mega' as these, but I'll think a bit bigger before working out all the details. :)

201765 Question for the group: I'm getting everything set up for a 'mega giveaway', via Facebook, blog, Goodreads and twitter. I'm planning on running it for about one month.

I was planning on having three 'grand prize winners' and ten runners up. Is that mega enough? Grand prize winners get two books per (plus a bit extra) and the rest get one book.

What do you think? Would more prizes attract more participants (say 20 runners up instead of 10)? Or does it really matter, it's more about the idea of winning that gets people to enter?

Carole, you are an amazing cheerleader! Thanks again for inviting me to participate and being so incredibly generous with your advice and social media accounts!

I'm a bit backed up writing a bunch of guest posts for another event, but will start sharing all of this great news (about others, I mean!) as soon as possible.

201765 I took a chance last year and entered my second novel The Lover's Portrait: An Art Mystery in the BookLife Prize for Fiction, Mystery category. I ened up at number 14 out of 1000+ books, which is awesome and has helped sales, even though I didn't make it to a final round! http://booklife.com/project/the-lover...

(I have to add a few more reviews, Carole I will put your wonderful review up as well!)

Here is a Facebook link, in case it’s interesting to share: https://www.facebook.com/JenniferSAld...

I'm going to enter more awards this year, especially after finding this group and reading all the information above. Thanks for sharing Carole, Julie and the rest!

201765 Hi all! I just wanted to thank Carole for inviting me to participate. This sounds like a fantastic opportunity! I'll check out the Twitter and Facebook pages and like or share what I can.

I'm not sure if I can set up an Amazon Kindle giveaway (live outside of the USA) but will check it out. Otherwise, I'll look into doing a Rafflecopter giveaway. I take it, the idea is to run one sooner, rather than later? I'm participating in swag bags for shows in February.

I've also got at least one mega-giveaway via my blog and Facebook author page set up for MysteryThrillerWeek, but that's February 12-22.

Thanks again and good luck everyone!
