The story has some fictional elements. My father arranged to have it typed and later put into electronic format. Copies have been liberally distributed through the family, but it was never published."
That's awesome! A limited edition of Increase's 1798 diary describing his journey from Mass. to Ohio then back and the family genealogy was published and given to a few family members. I found his journal fascinating and wanted it to be available for future generations. Have no idea what happened to my mother's copy!

Thanks for posting it to your FB!!

Awesome! Thank you, Dale. I hope to travel to Ohio this summer for more research. The historical society has an archive of papers that were found within the walls of an old house. They're in the process of renovating the building which will house the archives.

201765 Last March, April, and May I was a couch potato and watched a lot of TV. Then I shook myself out of this funk, and got back to scheduled writing. Published the sequel this January and now working to revise my third novel. Last summer, I wanted to travel 1,800+ miles to do research, but this didn't happen.

On Thursday, our Arizona governor lifted all restrictions. Yet, I still need to wait before making travel plans. The county historical society has an archive that I want to research. They had planned to renovate a historic home to house their archives, and this was put off last year. Work began on this two weeks ago -- so hopefully I'll be able to go there this year! I'm hoping something inside their archive of Increase's papers will shed light on his land dispute!
