Thank you, Carole. In being so stuck in not knowing what to do, I haven't done a darn thing, which includes taking photos of my products... which are ready to sell and ship. This is how nervous and confused I am... all balled up like a hedgehog. I know, I best get working on it! Hugs

Thank you, Nancy. I was also thinking of adding mini paintings. Hugs

My sis is in a similar boat and decided to combine both ideas into a total lifestyle blog. This is one reason why authors should ALways grab their own name..."
Thank you, Erin. While someone offered to help me set up a website store and I don't want to step on their toes, I've become concerned something is wrong or has happened because they have been absent. I'll try to upload a photo of my bookmarks. Hugs

Due to a physically painful health issue, I remain unable to obtain a job outside the home. Drowning in medical debt, I desperately need to earn money, as selling my collectibles on eBay isn't enough. In the past I have crafted and sold handmade jewelry to coworkers. I've always enjoyed creating such gifts for family and friends and have had a large stash of supplies on hand for years. This week I put together a bunch of gold and silver plated steel bookmarks with various charms. I was thinking of creating a website on which to sell them rather than sell them on eBay.
Here's my dilemma. I really and truly do intend to publish my books in various genres and would like to have an author website. Do I create one artistic website with a welcome page where a visitor will choose to learn about my books or shop for my jewelry? Or do I keep the websites separate because readers will be put off by me trying to sell them something other than my book? And, no, I do not intend to offer my books for sale on my website; just info and a link to Amazon.
Also, I plan to use WordPress and BlueHost and am techno-phobic. Is setting up a store and website using these services considered easy enough? Also, is anyone in a similar situation? What do you do and why?
Your thoughts and opinions are greatly appreciated. Thank you for your consideration. Hugs
