Also, KDP has been given an Order Author Copies service now, so you can order finalised books at print cost if you want/need them before publication (and after!)Though, I'm not sure if it's offered to everyone publishing on KDP, I'm in the UK. Additionally, author copies can only be sent out to marketplaces which have printing services in that country (so Amazon.com, .co.uk, .it etc.) I imagine this might improve in the future, but it's so much nicer not having to pay out full price.
I've found the printers we have in the UK now are much better than when they were printed somewhere in Poland. And they are speedy. This change (I believe) has also affected delivery for proof copies, now with the ability to have them printed closer. Gone are the three weeks wait and high delivery cost for a proof copy.
I'm inspired to go and see what this is all about, I've not heard of Medium. Many thanks for the info, Dale. :)

As everyone's taste is different and cover choice can get very specific (!), don't forget your own gut, as it probably aligns to the right preference anyway.
Number 2 properly screamed perfect to me. Deep colours and good contrast with the lightning - it makes it stand out. The picture spanning the whole cover is also really nice, I like seeing that on books.Number 1 I like, but there's something about it that doesn't look right. It might be that the picture doesn't seem to blend well, the cloud and house and sky all look a bit too separated. Not sure what could be done to make it flow more though... (I can comment but not advise on technical details, my skill is very limited!)
The other two are OK, but a bit blander I think.
Though I'm keen to get an audiobook produced, this is a great podcast from Joanna Penn about audiobook production, which highlights the pros and cons of ACX and exclusivity (SEVEN YEARS!!), and also the rapid changing landscape of indie book production. You might just be handing over a goldmine, so it's well worth a listen before anyone does!
