Sounds busy. I'm going to write a series of blog posts then put them in a kindle collection and pb. It's going to be aimed at chemistry students. Not AP, not SAT II prep...just translating the jargon for normal, college prep kids.

201765 Personally, I've been on a non-fiction kick of late.

201765 Prices are going up to $20 but it's still $15 if you mention this group or you buy my book on blurb writing.

201765 I was going to try KDP's paperback but the dang thing had the wrong setting for the cover...it whined about having 12.5 inches across instead of 12.475

Sounds good. I'll send you an email shortly."

Your suggested rewrite is finished. Let me know how you like it.

201765 Totally up to you. The prices are changing soon, but if you mention you saw this here...I'll always honor the $15 price. I'd see what happens with a rewrite then do an addon (ie. pay the difference) if you want something worked from scratch.)

201765 I think the way you can do that is put a code or something within the book. ie. "tell me the third word on pg (something in the middle)" to enter.

But you do have to leave it open to everybody to be legal in most places.

Thank you. It's good to see a nice, active group. Been an indie author for a long time...networking is super important.

I' d love to help but I specialize in children's book editing. I don't have any experience with mysteries or other types of stories. All the best."

The book is about writing better blurbs. Should be useful to most indie authors. But I totally get it. No problem. Thanks for stopping by to say hi.

201765 ... or for $30, I'll write one from scratch from your notes.
Short version of a rewrite:
You send me your blurb draft and any notes you think might be helpful in fleshing out the description. You'll also need to let me know if you want an invoice.

I'll do the rewrite then let you comment on that and make suggestions. I'll then do one revision of that rewrite.

I also do $10 10-page manuscript critiques or 20-pgs for $15. I might open a separate thread for that later. But for now, I've got a non-fiction book on blurb writing to tinker with

Note: prices changing soon as I publish the book on improving blurb writing. But I will honor the $15 price if you mention you're from this group.

Here's my website where you can read more details.

201765 Hi,
I just posted a blog spotlight created by Carole P. Roman. She suggested I throw the same offer up here.

My email is devyaschildren@gmail.com.

Basically, you write what you want (within reason) and I tweak the post so that it fits the page and pleases the SEO monsters. Then I send you the link with when it'll go live. That's it. It's mainly up to you to publicize the fact that it's there, but I might tweet something too.

My blog mainly publishes reviews of audiobooks and interviews with authors and narrators of those audiobooks, but I'm willing to expand. My preferences are for scifi, fantasy, mystery, and Christian stuff.

One last rule, it has to be kid-safe. I'm a teacher and if any of my students run across the blog, it needs to be safe for them to read. Same goes for the types of books I promo. Sorry, no hard core horror or erotica.

201765 Hi all, I got invited by Carole P. Roman (thanks!). I usually don't join GR groups, but I'll give it a go. Nice to meet everybody.

I write mysteries, scifi, YA, Christian mysteries, poetry, and soon, non-fiction. My first non-fic book will be about writing blurbs. Poke me if you think you'd like to beta read that. Will def require feedback because this is new territory to me. Like I said, fiction's been my world for a long time.

In other news, I teach high school chemistry.

Let's connect.
