I have been blogging since 2013 and I must admit the well is nearly dry. However, you make a good point about changing my site more often. Thanks for the tip.Marjorie

My new novel, FOR THE LOVE OF ETHAN, will be published in July, and I would appreciate an advance reader who would be willing to review it. Here's a brief description:Delainie Franklin is a devoted mother whose ordinary life runs smoothly — until Ethan, her ten-year-old son, becomes ill. Delainie and her husband, Joel, must not only face the challenges of Ethan’s uncertain future but also survive events that test their family bonds. How far will a mother go to save her son? Delainie must make that agonizing decision.
I would be willing to reciprocate as long as your deadline isn't until after July 4.
Skye, you can tighten it by eliminating and changing some words. For example:"For Eona, manipulating time is second nature. It gives her an edge in her dramatic circus performances, but it also separates her from other artists in her troupe. She has always known her unique magic could make her a target, but she wasn't prepared for a megalomaniac sorcerer to abduct, manipulate and imprison her. To learn what he wants, she must explore her own magic, the bond she feels with a mythical creature, and her feelings for a certain beautiful elf."
I assume this blurb is positioned under the book title. In the last line you say "...feelings she has for a certain beautiful elf." What are those feelings? Affection, passion, desire?
I hope these suggested changes help.
Your novel sounds intriguing to me. Good luck with it.
Sounds like a good idea. I live in the Seattle area so it would have to be a west coast branch. Thanks for the tip.

Hi, my name is Marjorie Reynolds, and despite knowing about Goodreads for years, I haven't participated until now. I published two novels through William Morrow (HarperCollins), but it soon began to feel like factory work. The books did well, but I felt tremendous pressure to please my agent, my editor, the unknown people up the publisher ladder and all those nice readers who said they were waiting for my next book. Morrow turned down my third novel and I actually felt tremendous relief. I devoted myself to teaching classes around the country and at the University of Washington Extension. I decided teaching was much more pleasant than crying over rejections. Then a few years ago, two friends and I sat down over multiple glasses of champagne and came up with MURDER AT CAPE FOULWEATHER by The Sun City Sluts. My sister-in-law said it read like a group of women got together, drank a lot, got tipsy and wrote this novel. She nailed it, of course, but we had such fun. We decided to self-publish it and to later write two more novels: POLE DANCING AT THE NURSING HOME and ALL ABOARD THE S. S. KEVORKIAN. Alas, we have moved onto other projects but I hope someday we'll turn out those sequels.I just released TAKE YOUR NOVEL TO THE NEXT LEVEL: ADVANCED TECHNIQUES FOR THE FICTION WRITER. I'm still a neophyte at marketing but I hope to learn more from this writing community.
