And so many will join in tonight after work and dinner. Things should really pick up this evening!

Anyone can do what I am doing. If you head over to the group, you can watch. You don't have to participate. Some prizes are big, but we are getting lots of interactions on the posts without giveaways too. When I have a party, I push to get some interaction from readers. Get them to share posts, or give some incentive to buy the book. Sometimes, I have had a flop when I scheduled on a day when most people were obviously busy. It helps when people know about something in advance. I put teasers out early and ask when a good time would be to get together. There are a lot of authors that do takeovers on this group (Awesome Reading Marathoners) and if you follow the group, you can see how others do things. It should always be fun. If not, end it, plan another and try again :) Never give up!

Thanks Alex! We are having a blast. Seeing huge jumps in his rankings. I love the energy from parties :)

I was happy. Very affordable services. Thank you for posting about it here :)

Welcome to the group Amy! I've used your services before :)

There are so many ways to do it. You may be able to reach out and find sponsors to help. Some people work with Etsy designers to create something for a book launch. Book charms are popular. You could trade traffic to her site or blog/facebook in exchange for a grand prize. Remember to follow Facebook terms of service if you post there- you can't promise likes, but you can tell people to visit. If you ask them to post their favorite item for sale, you are getting more traffic and traffic is valuable. You would have to prepare and ask a few (possibly) before one agrees. Also, consider asking a cookie designer to create something and see if you can make a trade. Those are just a few ideas!

You are correct that posting at different times may mean more views, but if you try posting more content that engages readers, asks for some response or posting messages that stir a response, you should see things pick up across the board as far as views. People post different memes between posts and things that make people laugh or create discussions. That should help boost your views overall and get people to come back to your page on their own. It takes time to build a following, but don't give up. I would suggest changing things up to see how it works out.

I did think that when I saw your post, hahah"

The single incandescent light bulb overhead started to swing slowly, casting eerie shadows across the room. Dust motes stirred up by an unknown disturbance caught the light, twinkling faintly as they floated around the room. A breath, no it couldn’t have been... his conscience told him. It must have been a breeze that tickled the back of his neck. It startled him, making him check for a source for the draft.
Finding no reason, he played it off like it never happened. In the far corner, he heard a low rumble, followed by something moving around. Startled, Jason turned and looked around the room absently. Must be mice, he thought to himself. His eyes were drawn again to the boxes on the upper shelves. A few were labeled, but he couldn’t make out the words. He wiped the dust from the largest of them. ‘Historical Records’ it read. Curiously, he pulled the box from the top of the rickety shelf, half expecting it to topple over. He blew off a layer of dust, silently cursing when he was caught in the violent wave of sneezing. He turned away from the dust cloud quickly, wiping his face on his sleeve as he perched the box precariously on his hip. He decided to carry the box upstairs where he could inspect it more clearly. He snapped off the light, carefully ascended the steps, and closed the door behind him, oblivious to the ominous form that was taking shape below.
