201675 Scope: To discuss the processes involved in the life cycle of a book.

While this can be a vast topic, since authors are increasingly required to        involve in all phases of publication, both breadth and depth of knowledge are        essential for success.

In order to structure the conversation, we could categorize processes into:
               Creation, Pre-publication, Publication, Post-publication.

I've deliberately avoided clubbing the creative process with pre-publication since        there is tremendous subjectivity with creative writing. And it is necessary to        provide space to discuss all variations.

I assume there will be a lot of discussion about the influence of technology at every        stage of the publishing process. And that's where some of the most actionable        knowledge sharing could occur. Lest we muddle this thread, tools is a separate        topic: barring references to tools aiding the publishing process, please discuss        nuances of the tools on its own topic.

201675 I'm an author based in Hyderabad, India, and started writing fiction & poetry in 2014.

In the process of self-publishing my first story recently (a novella:
Another Attempt), I have taught myself some aspects of the publishing
       workflow.
