I'm a little over halfway through myself and it also took me awhile to get into it. I'm listening to an audio file of the book so it makes it a little easier to get through. I'm looking forward to finally finding out what all the fuss is about.

Guilty as charged! :) I actually finally picked up "The Host" from the library today (it's been on hold for weeks) and will start reading it tonight. It's pretty thick so I hope I can finish by the end of this month. The plot does sound interesting.
