Gundam: IBO pros:
Art is cool. Not especially amazing, but they have a nice, post-00's comic book color pallet.
Voice acting is on point.
Banter is good.
Strong female presence used for more than fanservice.
Theme song (Raise Your Flag by I'm not sure who) is good.

Gundam: IBO cons:
Doesn't throw back to the source materiel (Mobile Suit: Gundam) very well. Confusing as hell for new watchers or people like me, who watched the source materiel once, but a very long time ago.
Awkward interaction with authoritarian characters. Orga doesn't seem to interact very well with his crew, and Cudelia (TOTALLY spelling that wrong...) could stand up for herself more, but doesn't really seem comfortable with it.
Mikasuki looks like Astro-boy.
^ Not a legitimate con, I know, but it takes away every shred of heroism he has and makes me think of a shirtless, black and white cartoon boy with rockets coming out of his feet. >.>

All in all, halfway in, I'm enjoying it. I'm rusty on the source materiel, so it's more like watching a new show for me.
Recommended for people who are already Mobile Suit: Gundam fans.

Do you like Voltron (80's or Netflix reboot, either one)?
You'd like Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans, MSG fan or not. Not the exact same concept, but they have similar casts and themes.
