Due to unfortunate circumstances at two publishers I work for, I have several slots open for developmental editing for the first quarter of 2023.
I've been a professional editor and creative writing teacher for 11 years. I charge $ 0.01 a word and to make sure I don't overlook anything, I always read each manuscript twice.
I mostly do thrillers and YA fantasy, but I also love middle-grade books and romance.

Hi everyone, I’m looking for free beta readers for the (full) 2nd book in my Cards of Death series. I will send it to the beta readers on January 12th and I will need all feedback on January 27th at the latest.
Cards of Death is a YA supernatural fantasy series. Book 2, The Second Premonition, will consist of approximately 62000 words. You will receive a Word document or PDF, whichever you like.
I will provide a list of things to look out for in the email.

What I’m looking for is:
-experienced YA beta readers
-preferably American or with knowledge of American English

I will provide all beta readers with a summary of book 1 or the full book if requested.

Once more it’s up to Dante and his loyal Shield of ghosts to decipher their meaning. The survival of the world depends on him saving the person the Cards of Death point to.

Then his mother is attacked. Dante needs all the powers he can gather to save her. But his Shield of ghosts has weakened and he doesn't have full control over his own powers yet. His friends might be able to help, but which of them can he trust?

Once again, Dante is thrown into a merciless race against the clock. He barely has time to register the depth of the magical world and his own powers. He must find solutions and answers, before time runs out.
