haha, same here! I started it, but I turned it off after aprox. 2 minutes. It makes me soo angry!
Ursula the Strigoi wrote: "no he never came to the country. the director of LOTR movies was Peter Jackson, a Kiwi. he showcased some of New Zealands best features. If Peter Jackson had Directed Eragon it would have been EPI..."TOTALLY AGREE!!!!!

Didn't New Zealand have some kind of personal significance to JRR tolkien? I forgot what it was though.. hmmmm. Anyone know?
Yeah 10-14 range? No way! I think people of all ages can read these books.. but really? if you're a 10 year old are you going to pick up on everything in the books? I guess I don't really remember what it was like to be 10.. hmmmYeah LOTR is basically the same thing.. different writing style but very similar reading level I'd say.
Good. People just don't understand the awesomeness of these books.. they just judge them by what they hear and the AWFUL movie.
OK. So I'm just curious as to how old people are in this group. I'm 21 and I'm obsessed with the inheritance cycle.. I know a lot of people consider these books "children's books". So considering I'm not a child I feel a little.. wounded? My sister and her boyfriend are constantly making fun of me and giving me "gag gifts" that have to do with dragons. So what do you guys think about it? Does anyone else think that these books are children books? And why?
Well.. I bet if someone hasn't read the books then the movie is probably not THAT bad. But for all of us who HAVE read them the movie is a complete disgrace to the books! I bet there isn't one person who has read the books that thinks they did a good job with the movie.
You summed it all up!! That was awesome. Another thing.. Did they even make Arya an elf in the movie? I don't recall that at all. But I only watched that movie once and I couldn't pay attention because it was so bad.. I kept leaving the room!
They would need a NEW cast. One in which CAN act.. AND one in which follows the description of the characters in the book. Just thinking about the movie Eragon makes me want to puke. *shudders*
Roran can't be the rider because he is too mushy in love with Katrina.. He has the "ultimate bond" with her so he'd have to basically give that up to be a rider. Also I totally agree with what Brianne said he is a representation of human strength.. he is super bad-ass with that hammer and his character has developed into someone who doesn't need the super strength of a rider to overcome powerful enemies. I can see him learning how to use magic though. I think it would make sense that Arya is the next rider because there are currently 3 human (for the most part considering Eragon is 1/2 human 1/2 elf) riders.. so wouldn't it make sense for the next one to be an elf??
