Wow! I've read this twice now, and hadn't ever realized quite the extent of the corruption that his decadences were bringing him. Thank you very much for sharing!!

189072 4 of 5 for me.

A reread for me, and a classic that I'd definitely recommend to others. The novel can be tedious at points, but it's a very thought-provoking piece too. The characters and the ideas will stick with you, and it's worth the reread every so often to see how you've grown too. There's a reason Dorian keeps fascinating us today. And of course, lots of Wilde wordplay, very witty and very quotable.

I've a longer review too.

189072 Hello all,

I'm Lara, a children's librarian currently in Honolulu, HI. I enjoy reading just about everything, and do read a lot for work, but it's mostly picture books through YA. For personal reading, I tend to grab mysteries, fantasy, paranormal/urban fantasy, romance (mostly historical), graphic novels, and manga.
Because I read so much for work, my Reading Challenge numbers aren't as important to me - it adds up so quickly. I'm aiming more to expand my reading outside of my usual ruts. I love the idea of this group and hope it'll push me to tackle all those Should Reads on my list!
