I see we have a tie for October's BOTM Modern Classic. Will we be reading both books?

As a new member, I was reading the BOTM FAQ for instructions. There appear to be some discrepencies in the details. For example, it states that suggestions can be submitted in the LAST two weeks of the month. Also, that polling begins at the beginning of the month. This doesn't jive with what I'm experiencing. Some updates might be needed.

I nominate
I, Claudius by Robert Graves, 468 pages

I nominate
It by Steven King, 1090 pages

I nominate
The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls, a memoir

My first Agatha Christie book. Gobbled it up in one sitting. Whodunits are not usually my faves, but this one was darn good, fast-paced and psychological, without the usual know-it-all detective.

Hello. I'm Renata from Toronto, Canada. I'm a baby-boomer, empty-nester, recently retired. Growing up, my favorite place was the library. I read voraciously as a youngster. Unfortunately, reading was left behind while I raised a family and built a business. Now is my time to enjoy life and resume my reading passion. With so many books to choose from, I`m hoping this group will help focus my reading to just the best and most popular books. Can`t wait to catch-up!
