I've had close to zero time to read so I'm embarrassed of my score, but Almeta's picking up the slack and then some! 😂"

Hi Britt. You have added Almeta's cumulative points in our November average, so that's why our number looks so good. Her current November score is 35 (See msg #261). Also, we are at 9 participants (not 8). Our November average isn't quite as high, but still an awesome number!

Jennifer, sorry but this book doesn't qualify for nomination. It is under the new 50K rating criteria. (See message 2 above)

189072 I first read this book in high school, about 50+ years ago. It obviously meant nothing to me then, because I didn't remember one word of it. Surely this story can't be fully understood by a 15-year old. It takes some living to truly comprehend the horror and the character's complexities. I'm really glad to have read it again. A dark, gothic, unromantic, psychologic thriller - just my cup of tea.

Debora, so sorry, but this book doesn't meet our new nomination criteria of 50,000 ratings. Please see message 2 above. More importantly, it was published in 1974, so not a classic yet.
