Growing up in the 70's, it was considered "cool" to be carrying this book. All the hippies and flower children were reading it then. I missed the trend, so 50 years later, I'll finally see what all the fuss was about.

Ronnie, 2 of your books are in our group bookshelf, specifically Crime & Punishment and Siddharta, so I will add another 100 bonus points to this score.
OK, so let's reset by giving Hannah a new book to read. Please select from her bookshelf labelled "books-I-own-tbr". Reminder to respond ONLY when you are ready for a new book yourself.
Mikayla wrote: "Japan, The Queen's Gambit Feb. 19th , 266 pgs"Mikayla, this book is in the bookshelf, so I'll add another 50 point bonus to your score.
Mikayla wrote: "Japan, Nowhere Girl: A Memoir of a Fugitive Childhood , Feb 16, 320 (bonus junior gymnastic Olympian)"Mikayla, is this book about the Olympics or an Olympic sport, really?
Samantha wrote: "Question about the 50 bonus points - for the bookshelf points, is it only the February BOTM reads or any of the past BOTM reads or any of the recent BOTM reads?"Samantha, any book that appears on the group bookshelf qualifies for the bonus. In your case, I will add 50 points for your "Seven Husbands" book. Here's a link to the bookshelf: https://www.goodreads.com/group/books...

Christy, I assume this book choice is for Cheryl, not Brittany.

Saar The Book owl wrote: "I'm in for Japan, because it's my favorit country. So, if I understand correctly, you need to read books about the chosen country?"No, you can read any book, any genre, any topic, just not sparsely-worded.
Sarah wrote: "I nominate Coriolanus by William Shakespeare"Sorry Sarah, your book doesn't have 50K ratings yet, so doesn't qualify for our group read.
