Marketing is really hard and I have asked some of the top authors what works, some of their methods do, but mostly the best marketing comes from word of mouth and recommendations to others. One NYT best selling author told me she gives out 50+ copies of her books to get people talking about her book and get reviews on amazon. Most of us can't afford to do something like that. I have my book at $0.99 for the kindle and still struggling. Having to take my book down for a year really hurt as it was doing well and getting lots of reviews at the time. I do VA for a top author and have built her platform tremendously but it is a lot of hard work. Follow the link above and join the FB group. I had a horrible publisher and had to take my rights back even though the book was doing well on Amazon. Took me a year to edit and finally republish this time self. So many people already read the first edition and even though this is new, new cover, new chapters. I am finding it hard to reach new people. Even having book at $0.99 hasn't helped.
