HiyaI have always loved a good alpha asshole H, and will accept and enjoy, in writing, all sorts of shit I’d NEVER accept IRL.
Over the last couple of years, either my tolerance has diminished or I’m just reading a string of ‘too much for me’ alpha assholes that seem to be tweaking my #MeToo subject thoughts and I can’t do an eye roll and overlook them like I used to.
Just wondering if anyone else has noticed a change for themselves?
Ha, your description is WAY better than the blurb... I read yours and was like ‘i wan’it’. Then read the blurb and was ‘eh, I’ll put it on the list since your description counteracts the blurb’. ;)

I think there was a similar thread earlier in the year that was solved. Sounded like the team might have been set up ‘like’ criminal minds series...? If you’ve got time, going thru old threads might find it?

Not likely. Only one woman from the future. She does ‘modernise’ some of the women tho. Traci Harding, The Ancient Future trilogy.
Suburb of Perth, Western Australia. Serial killer targeted blondish, slightly plump women in late teens/early twenties in the late 90’s... maybe early 00’s... picking them up in Claremont outside of the pubs and disappearing them from memory (this was all pre Uber-ish, and taxi drivers were prime suspects). Was a huge deal with dedicated task force for quite a while, maybe even had international expert assistance from FBI and the like, but I might be mixing that up with something else. Popped up every few years with suspects and details once he’d gone under. I think they only PINNED 3 women on him, but there were other possibles. A few years ago they arrested a suspect and the case is going to court now I think. I have always loved true crime (tv), but only ever tried a Jack the Ripper book that just didn’t do it for me. This book sounds interesting tho.

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...CM Owens has a few series, and a lot of the books are guys chasing their women for one reason or another (usually cause they’ve screwed up at some point 🙄)

Jana Aston, Wrong series... probably bk2 & bk3 (Right & Trust) are more clearly ‘he’s coming for her’, but I think bk1 (Wrong) too. Can’t remember which side of the fence the 4th one sits, but I do love the series. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

This rings a bell. If I read it, it would have been about 5-7yrs ago, and I wasn’t listing my reads well then, but I’ll have a hunt and keep it in mind.
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...Penelope Fletcher has a series... bk3 has never eventuated. Think she might be Indi tho.
Bk1 has some issues, but the ideas good. I can’t remember all of it cause it’s been a while.
...bk2... Burn...
Hmm, bk1 sets all sorts of world rules, and bk 2 just forgets them. Bk1 clearly sets characters, and bk2 brings in completely different actors.
From memory, they shift from our world to another, and there is a huge time difference. In the few hours the H is gone from our world, around 4 mths have passed in his. In bk2, I think the h has only been gone a week or two when her bff shows up screaming bloody murder about how worried she was when her friend just disappeared and ra ra rah! Going by the initial time difference, the h would have only been gone less than an hour or so and the bff probably still would have been in bed.
And the h is a kickass loyal ra ra rah... who just accepts that the H lied to her adopted son that she didn’t want him anymore and sent to him away into clear danger and gets on with her life. 6-7 years later she thinks, you know? Maybe I should follow up with my missing son who’s been in danger all this time and might even be dead, ya think?

Sometimes. Depends on my mood as to if it works for me or not, but it’s usually ok. Works best with series or authors I know, but randoms can be fun too. Occasionally it’s just because I’ve downloaded so many books, that I’ve forgotten what each of them is about and can’t be bothered googling them.
I was all obsessed with PRN for a while once, and picked up a dragon book on my shelf... turned out it was straight up bikie book... lol... that was a bit of a shock to the brain!
(My personal pref is for authors to put the blurb in the front of the ebooks to make it easier to check them. I’d also like iBooks to allow a quick way to check the blurb without having to go into the store or internet)

Probably not, but there is one that comes to mind. First in a series. Think the guys are tattooist maybe? h is brought in my controlling BF to cover scar. She doesn’t talk (by choice from family dying in childhood?). H tattoos her and ends up hiring her to help with his g-ma... Alzheimer’s? Problem getting away from BF.
