I listened to this book in 2018 on the way to a travel assignment. It was about a boy who’s friend goes missing and he is trying to put the puzzle pieces together. While he’s doing his own sort of investigation he meets a friend of hers and realizes he’s gay and those two form an attachment. At the end the girl faked her own disappearance/ possible murder and made it look as if an authority figure from their school did it because he was sexually assaulting students. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
