Could it be "As I Descended" by Robin Talley?

"The Boss" series by Abigail Barnette has explicitly bi leads. The first book is a free e-book.

Could it be "Luckiest Girl Alive" by Jessica Knoll?

"Night Circus" by Erin Morgenstern was really disappointing for me, yet quite a few BookTubers I admire are reading it for the third time and still adoring it. I hate love triangles and I have to really be in the mood for a character study. I was not in the mood for a character study when I read it. Sigh.

This might be a long shot, but could the book be "The Shore of Women"?

It varies. I think...If it's really clearly set during a decade that's past ( eg the 90s) and the author kept the details firmly in the time period, I'll allow it and maybe giggle. If the suthor's making cultural references that didn't exist then to make the characters hip, I get really annoyed. Mostly my feelings are somewhere in the middle.

Could it be Beneath the Sugar Sky" by Seanan McGuire, of the Wayward Children series? There's similar themes.

I thought "The Buddha in the Attic" by Julie Otsuka was told in a unique way. It's been described as a collection of linked narratives. There's different POVs, time periods and some poems.

"The Graveyard Apartments" by Mariko Koike. "Hex" is about a haunted small town, and it's by Thomas Olde Heuvelt. "Family Plot" by Cherie Priest. "The Girl From the Well" by Rin Chupeco has a ghost in it and is a retelling of "The Ring." I'll think of others.

Could it be "when" by Victoria Laurie?

I'm so glad I helped! I'm gonna reread the series too.

RL Stine had a Fear Street series dedicated to this too. It's called the Fear Street Seniors series and starts with #1: "let's party".

Dangerous Girls by Abigail Haas.

A Time For Dancing by Davida Wills Hurwin

Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson is about anorexia, among other themes.

"A time for dancing" by Davida Wills Hurwin.

"Jade Dragon Mountain" by Elsa Hart takes place in China. "Little Sister" by Kara Dalkey takes place in Japan.

"Dangerous Girls" by Abigail Haas.

I'm so glad I was able to help! I remember reading it at least five times as a kid to my brother. We really enjoyed it. Thank you, Kris, for linking it and pointing out the author--I had mixed her name with the illustrator.
