Thank you for introducing me to the dolls list.
So far I’ve read the dollhouse murders and knew right away that wasn’t it but still read the book and enjoyed it well enough.
I may never find the book but at least I’ll get some good reads in while searching :)

After I looked up zanboomer I saw that it was a series; I’ll probably end up reading them all now :)

OMG yes!!! Do you know how amazing you are to me right now!! I can’t wait to reread this now :D

I also cannot find my posts and am searching via app. I can’t go back and bookmark my post but will do so from here on if I can figure that out haha

This book I read as a kid 20-30 years ago and my memory about it is VERY limited but I distinctly recall a ballerina and posits strong man. I think they lived in a magic dollhouse. I feel like it is very Indian in the cupboard-esque but I don’t know if humans knew the dolls came to life or not and I feel like one of the dolls might have been bad?

Oops, so sorry to add a comment right away but I don’t know how to edit my original post...
I recall the cover just a large simple picture of a girl running.

I’m trying to find a book I read when I was a kid so probably some 20-30 years ago where a girl in either middle school or high school plays softball bit gets injured and can’t play anymore. She ends up becoming a runner with the help of a boy in school. There was a lot of details like she couldn’t eat big steak lunches like the softball players, she started training without socks but got blisters and the boy insisted she wear socks, etc.
