In my book, Eleanor and Park, Eleanor comes from a very dysfunctional family. Park is just another guy that goes to high school and is living his own life. One day, after Eleanor moves into Park's neighborhood, The two characters meet on the bus when Eleanor sits next to Park. Over the course of the book, Park and Eleanor slowly get more and more attached to each other. Eleanor is always skeptical about if Park is expressing how he truly feels about her because of her dysfunctional family. She is slowly accepting that she is in a relationship with him. I think

I am almost finished with "The Mortal Instruments: The City of Heavenly Fire" and the main antagonist, Sebastian, dies. In the beginning of the series we learn that Sebastian was born to do evil in the world. By the end of the series, Sebastian is injured and all of the evil is burned away from inside of him. What is left of Sebastian, before he dies, is the person he would've been if there was no evil in him. Throughout the book, Sebastian has killed many people, but when he dies he is instantly guilty of everything he has done. He regrets all of the destruction and despair that he has caused. His mother, disgusted of Sebastian since he was a baby, forgives him of all that he has done just before he dies. I don't think I would be able to forgive someone like that, even if they were dying; I think it would take time to forgive someone.

In The City of Heavenly Fire (the final book of The Mortal Instruments series) the main character, Clary, has to overcome her cowardice. Her mother was kidnapped by her brother, Sebastian, and taken to a different dimension full of demons. Clary has to overcome her cowardice and fight against Sebastian to rescue her mother. She often gets frustrated with herself for not being courageous. She is envious of her friends who are more courageous than she is. I think that I would have the same mindset Clary has. I would also be very envious of my friends if they were more courageous than I am.
