184768 In the Child 44 it takes place in Russia during the Soviet Union. The book shows how if a person is to go against the government or do anything outside of your job then the government takes action and places any person in prison no matter the rank the story states that, "we have a whole section of our prisons dedicated to people who arrived a half an hour late to work." this shows how strict and cruel government is placing people in prison just for simple violations.

184768 I am reading Child 44, it is a story that takes place during the cold war, it shows the soviets point of view during the war. This book is a burn book because the story just jumps around to different time periods during the war and it has no structure. The jumps make no sense and have no correlation with one another. It is just a stroy with multiple stories inside of it with each story have nothing to do with the other.
