im am reading this book about nfl tight ends and i think it should be put on the burn books because it really confusing and hard to follow the story line since every single chapter deals with a different character. also the relationship between the characters isnt very distinct.

the novels main character mick isolates himself because of the effect that the steroids he is taking are doing on his body. he also isolates himself because he doesn't want his friends and teammates to find out he is doing steroids.

The theme hard work pays off is shown when Mick get to high school and has to work hard in order to get out of playing just on the special teams and start playing on offense, and even though he is a freshman he does because of his work effort.
