In the titans curse, annabeth was left to her own luck and its up to her friends to save her and look for her but their debating either to go or not since it is a very hard path full of dangers ahead of them.

The Titans Curse -Is about teenagers who think they are normal human beings until they find out their decendents of Greek Gods. They have to go through a process of acceptance and accept they are who they are and their lives are what they are. They have to accept their lives and embrace it for good because if not your life could be at risk.
