Ironically, I could find very little in the Rigger's Apprentice about actually adjusting the standing rigging. It's focus was on splicing. You can pay somebody to splice pretty cheaply if its not your passion, but its expensive to have someone work on your standing rigging.

What are your favorite sailing narratives? What do you like about them?

I have come up blank trying to find cruising guides in English for the South Pacific? Are there any puddle jumpers with suggestions?
