Tess has a fair and light kind of beauty, as you can tell just by glimpsing her. The first thing almost everyone notices about her is her red hair, naturally. The fiery waves fall down Aislinn's back, reaching only slightly past her shoulder blades. Next most commonly noticed was her freckles. The two most common facial traits of the Irish. Freckles dot her skin, from her head all the way to her toes, popping out even more on her pale skin. Tess's favorite aspect of herself is her dark green eyes. Not her red hair or freckles, but her eyes. The only thing Tess dislikes about her appearance is her height, where she stands at only 5'3", and is the only thing she would ever change about her appearance. She is a normal weight for her age and height, at 119 lbs, almost 120. Tess usually wears oversized sweaters and skinny jeans to be comfortable, though has her fair share of skirts, crop tops, dresses, and heels. (view spoiler)[

Before Tess's story even begins, one must travel back to a time long before she or any of her brothers arrived, a time when Kiera Gallagher was still alive and well. Liam and Kiera were married on June 21st, the Summer Solstice. It was Kiera's favorite day of the year, so it would make sense that one of the biggest days of her life was on that day. Everything went perfectly, and they soon moved into a beautiful home just outside of Dublin. at that time next year, Kiera was about to have her first child, a little boy they named Nicolas. After Nick came the twins, Finn and Conor, and lastly Eamon. They loved their children, but Kiera had always dreamed of having a little baby girl. Boys were wonderful, but it just wasn't the same. Unfortunately, she would never get her wish. Shortly after Eamon was born, she got deathly ill. There was no cause that the doctors could find, and, therefore, no cure. Kiera Gallegher was dead by the end of the month, leaving behind a husband and four sons to grieve her.

Around two years later, Liam met another woman, one he thought he might actually love. She was beautiful and loving and everything he could possibly ask for in a wife and mother, but it seemed it wouldn't work out for the better. They became closer, and soon Abigail moved in with the family. She treated the boys as her own and found out she was pregnant with Liam's child. They were engaged as soon as there was news of the baby, though they wouldn't be married until after the baby was born. What Liam didn't know, though, was who is new fiance really was. She wasn't someone he had met coincidentally. She was Áine, the Celtic goddess of love, light, summer, wealth and sovereignty. Not one member of the family knew this, and, therefore, had no idea why Liam's fiance just picked up everything and left after Tess was born. So here was Liam, a single father with five children, the oldest only seven years old.

The Gallagher children soon learned how to take care of themselves. After Tess was enrolled in the local elementary school most of the children were at, they no longer had anyone at home for hours after they came home. Nick was in 7th grade, and therefore escaleted to the "parent" until their father came home later that night. Everyone helped each other, with everything from dinner to homework and waking up on time, but Tess was always the one everyone
